The French Cinematheque is doing an Orson Welles retrospective and that also means his work as an actor. So on the 29th of November it's time for my 4th Paul Newman on the big screen: The Long Hot Summer!

A bit speechless. When I think on my favourite movies, a big part of what makes them classics is a Diane Keaton performance. You never forget the look on her face at the end of Godfather, her endless charisma in Something's Gotta Give or her chemistry with Woody Allen Very sad :(

I often say that Collateral is to Cruise what Hud was to Newman. Two brilliant films where their movie star charisma is used against the audience to make you root for two of the most cold blooded, despicable characters in fiction. Top notch casting for both.
