Watching Chris Ramsey’s Who Do You Think You Are episode, and remembering my own great granddad’s experiences at Gallipoli. Here’s something I wrote about it. vivsancestry.wordpress.com/2014/08/05/rem… #WDYTYA #WW1

LongCovid at 1.3yrs: New Wheels! Acceptance is key to living with #LongCovid, accepting that new you can’t do what old you could. Unable to walk any distance, today I accepted that it’s better to be out in a wheelchair than to not be outside at all. A very happy family outing!

A nice & very welcome bit of academic news today. Part of my book from many years ago now, 'The Pleasures of Horror', is hopefully going to be reprinted in a new 'Horror Theory Reader'. It'll be material from a chapter about horror fandom (which makes sense given my other work!)

Travelling back to Scotland and I have just finished Finkel's The Art Thief and I am so cross. In 1996 Stéphane Breitwieser stole Corneille de Lyon's Madeleine of France, Queen of Scotland, and it is now suspected to have been destroyed by being put through garbage disposal😭😭

Thanks J. Michael Straczynski - loved Babylon 5 The Road Home (my Blu-ray copy arrived early). Fab storytelling, lovely to see old faces (in some cases with new, but good, voices) again. So much fun. Thank you very much.

I'll be on Good Morning Scotland tomorrow morning about 7.40, and Reporting Scotland later in the day talking about problems with archives. (Well one archive, you can probably guess which one.)
