1) This chart had been generating a lot of interest in DC; I presented it two weeks ago at Drug Information Association (DIA). We’re investigating IRA’s impact upon early stage Biopharma investing < $ 2billion. There has been an enormous transition from Small to Large molecules in Neurology. 

2) Our theory is indications that have a high exposure to the Medicare aged population will see an erosion in investment. Neurology is one such indication. Our chart is simply a count of the number of clinical trials, but it shows an enormous shift from small to large molecules.

3) the fact we see a huge shift away from small molecules in Neurology is troubling, as small molecules more effectively cross the blood brain barrier. We’re in the process of tying investments to indications, but we thought this chart was worth distributing at this time.
