one cool thing i've learned working in news for 10+ years: the awards/honors/promotions are always nice but nothing tops the feeling of someone saying they needed the article/product/resource you made and now they have it. those moments make this chaotic job so worth it

Woke up Friday morning feeling like I was floating, with a bad headache and body aches. Tested positive for COVID. This is my second time, and so far I’m not in as bad shape as the first time. I’m hopeful it passes quick. But the timing or the updated vaccine just missed me.
