Summer cover in the ground 37 days. Buckwheat flowering already, I wonder how quickly we can get to 100% sunlight interception for maximum microclimate, liquid carbon and biomass production?

Another year of the MFMG #covercrop trials are underway. This spring sown mix is holding on amazingly well. Tillage radish and buckwheat gone to seed in lighter soil. Millet holding on. Brassicas, turnips and sorghum powering in heavier soil. Sunnies 👌🏻

Happy NY all. Great to see some models starting to narrow after a week of uncertainty. Good time after harvest and with shortening day length to kick the perennials along and start to fill up the topsoil for 2021 annuals. Surely I’ll jinx it now and we’ll get next to nothing? Ha
