20 percent into #plant24 and hell it’s dry. Moisture probe hasn’t had a hit since December. Driest summer/autumn I have seen in my short farming career. Here’s to a wet winter!

Amelioration gurus- Does aggressive tillage like spading increase availability of P in the first year like it does for N or does it reduce it by burying it away from the seedbed?

I’m a big believer there’s no such thing as good luck just a combination of preparation and opportunity. But frost takes the cake this year for bad luck. Swales stem frosted halfway through grainfill. Spaded dunes untouched. Thanks to Charlie Oster for mowing it down

A big shout out to Lachie Koch who fresh faced, straight out of school came to us as a harvest casual in 2019. 5 years later and he’s making his way home to take on the family farm. We will miss having him around and he’s had an everlasting impact on what we do here!
