The brand new CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 includes support for variable fonts, plus a filter option to narrow the font list down to only variable fonts: learn.corel.com/tutorials/core… The variable fonts software support page has been updated accordingly: v-fonts.com/support/

There are some new fixes for variable font support in the latest beta versions of Adobe InDesign: indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-…

The Cavalry for 2D animation, now in free public beta, includes support for variable fonts: cavalry.scenegroup.co/#Features It’s been added to the list of apps with variable font support: v-fonts.com/support/ (Thanks to Plau for the tip.)

fairly confident that Goodhertz will soon be releasing the world’s first audio plugin that features a variable-font-interpolation-animation as part of the interface — s/o to OH no Type Co for the font (& for accidentally naming the plugin itself)

Slice is a new open source app from Source Foundry that uses FontTools to slice the design space of variable fonts into smaller sections (e.g. if you just want one axis from a multi-axis font). It can also generate custom static fonts and edit font names. slice-gui.netlify.app/docs/
