Congratulation Isa Isa - the whole lab is so proud of your recognition as a 2024 Women in Triticum Early Career awardee. Richly deserved for your scientific excellence, values and leadership. bgri.cornell.edu/awards/wit-ear… John Innes Centre European Research Council (ERC)

I so enjoyed listening to the illuminata podcasts over the last year…. except for this one 🫣😅but thank you so much 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗮 Cristina Ocaña G. for the insightful questions! It’s hard to stop me once I’m allowed to talk about wheat, barley and their wild relatives 🌾🌾

It’s Transformation Tuesday 😊 A warm welcome to @aroojazhwar00 who joined the wheat transformation team John Innes Centre yesterday. Second day and already isolating wheat embryos for a Delivering Sustainable Wheat project 👏👏👏👏

1/ Pre-war wheat could hold the key to securing and improving future harvests. Led by the UK John Innes Centre and China (AGIS-CAAS), scientist from across the globe have concluded a 20 year study to decipher the genomes of over 800 pre-war wheats. jic.ac.uk/press-release/…

The first italian GE trial has been destroyed by "ecoterrorist" last night. Full support to vittoria brambilla and her collegues. Don't give up!

To the wheat and plant sciences community: We want to share across the coming weeks our day-to-day lab protocols, via protocols.io (open access, no peer review). First release is: "How to grow wheat" dx.doi.org/10.17504/proto… Feedback is welcomed and greatly appreciated! 💬

Today we are excited to share our protocols.io on how to dissect (and collect) spike meristems. We hope it can be useful! dx.doi.org/10.17504/proto… As we release the protocols we countdown for #IWC2024Perth 🌾 5 weeks left!

What a wonderful Wheat Transformation and Genome Editing Team John Innes Centre so proud of you all 👏👏👏 and your collective efforts JIC_Wheat Transformation and Genome Editing
