So glad that people are getting more excited about tech again more recently! The last couple of years have felt pretty bad in terms of viewership on tech channels, but it seems like everyone is a lot more optimistic these days. Haven't had this level of performance in months 🫰

Now that the iPhone 17 Pro models look EXTREMELY Pro.. Apple can start giving some great features to the base iPhones without worrying about cannibalization.

Hot take: iPhone 17 Pro has the best iPhone design in years! Ready for launch with Spigen! They sent over a bunch of cases and screen protectors and these are two of my favorites.

Dang that new 48MP 4x optical camera module is MASSIVE! Literally takes up all of that space in the new camera bar right up against the flash and LiDAR. 56% larger sensor. Only possible to fit thanks to the added internal space within the camera bump due to new milled unibody.

Hot Take: I think Apple made the RIGHT choice of having a pure white background on the clear case accentuating the new window glass design. The fully clear case alternative would lead to a misaligned and halfway covered up Apple logo which is a HUGE marketing no-no.

No they haven't. The MagSafe magnets are still at the top. I mocked up a quick photo of the location of the Apple logo on the back, being covered up by the MagSafe magnets. Obviously, a fully clear case wouldn't work. Apple made the right choice with their clear case design.

Looks like demand for Pro is much higher than Air! Can still order an Air very easily for day one shipping… but not the Pro models. Orange here we go!

Meta is about to take over the smart glasses market in a viral way. Apple's option will likely be too expensive to go viral, at least initially.

Fun Fact: Aluminum is 150x better at transferring heat than glass. iPhone 16 Pro: Chip/logic board is sandwiched between 2 slabs of glass, locking in heat. iPhone 17 Pro: Most of the back is an aluminum exoskeleton, now with direct contact with the air for heat dissipation.
