Today, in a statement to the #NPT #PrepCom, U.S. Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament reaffirmed the United States’ assurance not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear weapons states that are party to the NPT and in compliance with their nuclear nonproliferation obligations.

It was a great opportunity to meet with other delegations and discuss our common dedication to the #NPT and how, together, we can advance nuclear disarmament, nonproliferation, and peaceful uses.

I was pleased to speak at NPDI’s #PrepCom side event today on transparency, accountability, and strengthening the #NPT review process. The United States is deeply committed to advancing these goals, and we believe there is cross-regional support to do so. Let’s get it done.
