Day 1 of SPSC 2025 went by in a blur of songs, presentations, wise words, and networking in the heat of July! Thanks to all of our wonderful day 1 presenters - we are off to a great start!

Our final two keynote presentations yesterday reminded us about the importance of simple things like a 2 minute power pose for confidence and the power of Schedule send (among many other insights). Thank you Brad Nichol, Colette Evans and Nevin Halyk 🤗

In our morning session on Day 2 (July 4th), leaders from the Meadow Lake Tribal Council Education Office offered insight into the processes, relationships, and tools that connect central office leadership with school-based administrators.

The afternoon session on Day 2 brought us Joel Lloyd, CFO at Greater Saskatoon Catholic Division, who enlightened us with a session on finances, funding, and future-planning - aka - Stewarding Resources.

On the final morning we heard from a powerful panel of early-career vice principals from both provincial and First Nation schools. They shared honest reflections on their transitions into leadership, the challenges they’ve faced, and the skills that helped build their confidence.

Our final session of SPSC 2025 was "Ready, Set, Asked, and Answered" with our panel of incredible facilitators. The photo here also shows Elder Corine Eyahpaise who prayed for all of us and shared words of wisdom and Elmer Tootoosis who shared an honour song with us.
