The Reed Dance at the eNyokeni Palace in KwaNongoma is underway, the maidens from the Municipality are part of the activities. The Reed Dance celebrates 40 years and the Municipality has supported its maidens with three buses, as well as breakfast for the two days and lunch.

The uMngeni Municipality wishes to alert residents of possible severe thunderstorm within the municipal area. The severe thunderstorm is expected between 11:00 AM today until 11:59 PM, and it is forecast to bring heavy rains, strong winds, lightning, and potential hail.

Deputy Mayor, Sandile Mnikathi in his capacity as the Chairperson of the IPW committee handed over the road upgrade project in KwaHaza in Ward 9. The Municipality will re-gravel 1.8 km of roads which will include a culvert. The value of the project is R5.4 million.
