Once restaurants & bars reopen, they’ll have huge economic challenges given reduced capacity mandates. We should allow them to do more business outside: more outdoor/street seating & service. It’ll allow them to make up lost capacity + outside is a lower virus risk environment.

Restaurant owners are now in favor of using parking for outdoor seating and claiming its a boon for business. For years they complained any removal of parking for safe bike lanes would decimate their businesses. Business owners shouldn't have outsized voices in community outreach

How on Earth can a "progressive" state justify maintaining a mortgage interest deduction for second homes while preparing to massively cut public education and damn near every other social serivce of value to low-income folks? This has been a subtweet of the CA Legislature.
