A #skin impression made by a #dinosaur approximately 97 million years ago in the Arctic of Alaska. Not exactly sure what kind of dinosaur it was, but many fine details are preserved here. #FossilFriday #paleontology #fossils #Cretaceous Perot Museum

Happy #WorldWildlifeDay! Our students go on some incredible adventures and we're pretty proud of them. Owen Singleton spent the summer interning at Zoo Knoxville . He is an undergraduate student working with Dr. Drumheller-Horton's lab Stephanie Drumheller

While our colleagues are at #gsaconnects2024, we also had students present at Discovery Day run by UTK. Owen Singleton (Dr. Drumheller-Horton's student) shared his part of a bigger project on lizard decomposition and what it can tell us about fossilization.Stephanie Drumheller

Dr. Stephanie Drumheller-Horton shares what she presented that took her to #svp2024 #2024svp . Check back to hear about the experiences of our other colleagues and students who recently attended conferences! Stephanie Drumheller

Anyone can be a scientist <3 Dr. Stephanie Drumheller-Horton's Stephanie Drumheller collected ~340 million year old fossils to do a science fair project on Kentucky's ancient marine biodiversity. Dr. Colin Sumrall even got involved to collect samples for his own research on biodiversity!
