In Manufacturing Engineering, you can expect to learn everything to do with production facilities and producing a product: material selection, mechanical design, production machinery required, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and so much more!

Mechanical engineers go into aerospace, biomedical, robotics, manufacturing, automotive, energy, and product design, but you can apply a mechanical engineering degree to virtually any field - ask any design team! Buckle up, and prepare yourself to work with anything that moves.😊

Materials Engineering focuses on solving complex problems related to the materials we use every day. This ranges from development, application, and disposal of a variety of materials. We have biomedical, manufacturing, and mineral processing streams for further specialization!

Mining Engineering is an industry of extreme locations and leading edge technology. As mineral deposits are depleted, the industry is searching for innovative solutions for better utilization of resources, and access to deposits located from the ocean floor to asteroids in space.

You may recognize UBC Engineers by their "Red." Did you know ALL faculties used to wear their colors? Red is the only one that still lives on! Decorating your Red with patches or pins is a great chance to show people who you are - a UBC engineer! We love seeing everyone's Reds!♥️

The first Engineers’ Cairn was a pile of rocks held together with hand-mixed cement and stood for only 2 days. The EUS President declared a new cairn would be built, “but no one will be able to move it.”And so followed a tale of concrete, vandalism, and indestructibility.😉

The Iron Pin (received in first year) and the Iron Ring (received in grad year) serves to remind the owner of the responsibilities they hold as lives and safety are at stake for every engineering decision made. They represent steps on the road to becoming a professional engineer.

Great to meet and congratulate the class of 1970 for a successful, fun albeit virtual reunion! These engineers built much of the BC we know. UBC Engineering UBCEngineeringAlumni #UBC

Frustrated with Proctorio? So are we! That’s why The Senate has approved a new policy banning remote invigilation, except when required for accreditation. Is your course in violation of the new policy? Report the incident to us, and see more info, at msha.ke/ubcengineers/
