It saddens me when I see someone who seems to have so much intimate knowledge of Star Trek be unable to engage with the stories it told and the stories it tells now. He is genuinely exited for a show that will be reduced to telling the audience how to think and key jangling.

Crazy how no one would even know who he was if he told a bad story right? So maybe a good story with a strong moral message is more important than just the message?

Have you not seen wrath of Kahn? They aren’t just making up complaints.

I don’t think you watched the movie bud. The glasses were a plot point that Kirk was like the only guy allergic to the one thing that cured it so he was the only guy who needed them. This show takes place over 1000 years after that movie. It would’ve been cured.

Being mean is one thing being honest is another. This show will most likely misunderstand much of Star Trek like discovery and strange new worlds did and do. Star Trek is not as simple as representation. It is much more than that.

It’s truly incredible that you tried to find the most out of pocket moment from the show and it still looks better than anything the academy has shown us.

Scratch a conservative and you find someone who prefers the past over any future. Scratch a liberal and find a closet aristocrat.

Fuck you both of those are shit and your not a fan if you think that movie was the heyday of star trek.

Star Trek: SNW gets off way too easy. For a show that consistently tells bad stories that are broken to the core on plot, theme, character, and world building people really seem to love it and I wish people were more honest about what it is.
