While competition in the music industry is evident, there is often a sense of community between musicians and no more so than in times of adversity. If you feel unsure about opening up to people you know, there are a number of charities and helplines available.

If you spend forever rehearsing and then no gigs, you’re not going to learn the beauty and the pain of playing live, which can often be totally out of your control. That’s what makes live shows magical because everything’s on the brink of disaster and anything can happen.
