The rich young ruler came to Jesus expecting affirmation, but instead encountered interference. Jesus loved him too much to let him stay the same. God still interferes with our lives today because truth sets us free and freedom brings lasting joy!

Dr. Andrew Bonar once said sheep would jump about twelve feet for sweet grass, only to get trapped, and the shepherd would carry them back. That is what our Good Shepherd does for us when we wander into sin. He does not abandon us!
