Every time I visit sites on the Somme battlefield, I’m left in awe of the courage those that remain there have shown and also those that had to come to terms with the loss of someone special in their life. I couldn’t fathom how difficult it was to write this epitaph. Commonwealth War Graves

It was such a pleasure to welcome the British Army 🇬🇧 1st Battalion London Guards Army Reserve (Ypres Coy) to Richmond Cemetery to care for the Commonwealth War Graves casualties and to pay their respects after. Thanks for your hard work! Know a group that would like to do the same in London, please DM me!

A fantastic day spent on the #IOW with my colleague Will Reid meeting our Commonwealth War Graves volunteers, who do amazing work on the Island. We have a great group here, just 8 of them, who care for 400+ war graves and give talks and guided tours. What a brilliant bunch!
