I loved reading of God's love and care for us this morning in Morning Prayer - the Ten Commandments wrapped in the covenant, and Paul's letter to the Ephesians speaking of God's love as he chooses us.

Plus some good news yesterday - people asked to volunteer for the parish council said yes!

Pondering how much I loathe the Biased Broadcasting Corporation. TV Licensing: "Warning: this unlicensed business premises is being investigated." When you fill in their online form, they still say they reserve the right to come and check you're not lying.

I'm physically tired from getting a lot done these past few days but also very hopeful. Sometimes you have to pace yourself when you have a long term condition.

My church visits a nursing home once a month and we have more and more coming to our services. Also met a lovely new staff member and feel confident people are well looked after (and it doesn't smell of cabbage, or worse).

Most of us in Britain did not vote for the sub-prime minister.

My denomination doesn't seem to have issued a press release yet - I would predict something along the lines of "both sides... ceasefire... de-escalation... blah blah"

There may well be some amplification of Diocese of Jerusalem statements about Al-Ahli Hospital and how much people suffer in the "occupied" territories. Its own last press releases talked about "captives" as though child hostages and convicted terrorists were equivalent.

There are no retractions of false or misleading statements: e.g. "500 people died in an IDF strike on Al-Ahli" which later turned out to be 50 in the car park struck by a terrorist misfire.

I thought I had heard of Addameer before when the US sanctioned it. I had: the Anglican church complained when its premises embedded within a church in Ramallah were raided in 2022.
