The car park at the Loch Centre is going to be closed for resurfacing during the week beginning 2nd September. Best to travel to the health centre by an alternative method of transport that week, as parking in the area will be in short supply.

Tranent Health Centre will be closed from 13:00 on October 9th for a Lothian-wide training event, re-opening as normal on October 10th. For medical assistance when we are closed call NHS24 on 111, or dial 999 in a medical emergency.

We are holding an information session at the practice on the evening of Wednesday 27 November between 18:00 & 20:00 for people who want to find out more about the female menopause. There's no need to make an appointment, just come along if you'd like to find out more.

We have a new telephone number: 0300 790 6277. It's available for use now, and patients should use this number when calling us regarding appointments, results or any other matters. Our previous number will remain operational for a few weeks, but will be phased out in due course.

Patients of Tranent Medical Practice who are aged 80 years and over who have NOT had their FIRST DOSE of the covid vaccine should contact the surgery on 0300 790 6277 as soon as possible to make an appointment.

Patients who received their 1st covid vaccination from the practice in JANUARY should contact us now to book their 2nd dose (please phone 10:30 to 16:30 for this). We are not taking bookings from patients vaccinated in February and March as yet. More info soon for these patients.

NHS Lothian is running a drop-in covid vaccination clinic for people aged 40 and over at East Lothian Commmunity Hospital in Haddington this weekend (June 12 & 13). No appointment is necessary, just turn up on the day to get your first or second covid vaccination.

If you are aged 50+ or have a chronic health condition and haven't had your 1st covid vaccination yet, now's your opportunity. We are running clinics at Tranent Health Centre on 29 and 30 June for anyone in these categories. Call 0300 790 6277 after 10:00 to make an appointment.

Drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics are available for people 18+ living in the NHS Lothian area. Anyone over 18 can attend a clinic for their 1st or 2nd dose without an appointment. More info at nhslothian.scot.
