Learning how to identify good setup is easy and you can do it in a few months with enough effort. Knowing when to push that setup and when to take a step back is hard and took me many years to be able to identify the clues the market gives constantly.

Key ways to reduce overtrading: Focus on a limited group of leading uptrends. Develop a watch list when markets are closed and then trade from that list - update it as needed. Focus on one or two key chart signals or setups.

There are no points for playing on hard mode. Just like a video game, you can influence the degree of difficulty before the game begins. Over the long term, the average person who puts themselves in a good position beats the genius who constantly finds themselves in a poor

I CONTINUALLY drill these concepts into my brain. I spend a couple mins, multiple per day, going over these & explaining to myself why I do them. If it prevents me from making 1+ mistake a day, it's worth it. Don't wait for mistakes to happen, nullify them before they happen.

The process once perfected, frees up mental energy as it becomes a procedural memory. As a result, you can do it with very little energy. Running scans and finding trades from them in the first 30 minutes is a process No thinking is needed once you have a process Managing a

.Jeff Bezos on asking better questions: I frequently get the question: "what's going to change in he next 10 years?" I never get the question: "what's not going to change in the next 10 years?" The second question is the more important of the two.

#Trading is 99.9%+ an exercise in restraint, not action. I #daytrade for about 2 hrs/day (7200 seconds). I click a buy/sell button or move orders (actual trading actions) for maybe 3 to 6 seconds total or 0.08% of time. The other 99.92% of the time is an opportunity to mess up.

The model was developed in 2002 to act as a filter for breakout trading to reduce drawdown. Since then, I have learned a lot more about market timing and now mostly use this for longer-term trades in 401k and investment accounts.

Read this section from Mark Boucher until it's burned in your brain. While most traders hyperfocus on tactics and indicators, the first order of business is identifying runaway "markets" (stocks). Only after you've found the strongest, fastest horses should you even consider

Your trading strategy is not your edge! It’s not unique, there’ll be many who use the same strategy. Your edge is your ability to apply your strategy effectively. Since very few can do this, that’s what truly makes a trader unique and successful. This is your true edge💰

No one knows when the next big bull market will start, but there is one thing I am sure of: things won't look good when they do! The news will be bleak, stocks will look scary, and the future will seem uncertain. It is always this way, and I have proof. Inflation and war are not
