Residents are advised that due to the high winds, the water treatment plant is offline and the system is currently on bypass. As a result, there is an immediate boil order in effect until further notice. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The water shutdown is still in effect for the town. Work to connect our new Chlorination Building has been going well throughout the night, however, the work is still not fully completed. A further update will be provided at 9:00 am. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Work to tie in chlorination building is still ongoing. Water still off, further update at noon. Very big job - thanks to the contractor, workers & Town staff for their hard work. It’s been a long cold night & morning for them to ensure clean safe drinking water into the future.

Chlorination Building Tie-in Complete! Boil Order in Effect!

Water restored to most sections of town, exception of Little Bay & Mooring Cove. Expect to restore to these areas in 1.5 hours. Restoring water is gradual process, lot of air in lines that needs to be bled out through fire hydrants. May experience low water pressure as a result.

Reminder! Boil Order! There is still a boil order in place following last week's shutdown. The Town will never lift a boil order without advising residents. As soon as water test results allow us to lift the boil order, we will immediately post a notice to all residents.
