Due to inclement weather all school buses & school vans are cancelled for today Thursday January 26,2023. Schools are open, however parents/guardians are responsible for transportation of students attending open schools at the end of the day.

Gr 4 students wrote letters to their bilingual dog from @OttawaTherapyDogs and their dogs wrote back! What a Pawsome way to make writing authentic!

Today we said goodbye to Mme Vanessa, who will be leaving BPS to be Principal at Churchill Alternative. We will miss you Mme Vanessa - Churchill is lucky to have you!!

Our wonderful Ms. Knight has made tie-dye trick or treat bags with her class. Some of her students are not able to speak, so she has put pecs directly on the bags so that ALL her students are able to say please and thank-you on Halloween!

In Flanders Fields the poppies grow - at BPS we remember those who sacrificed so we could enjoy the freedoms we have in Canada today.

This Remembrance Day I spoke to the Wolfpack at @BarrhavenPS on the importance of kindness and how the Poppy reminds me of my friends who helped me. Their kindness inspired me while in Afghanistan and Lebanon. They risked a lot to have safer land for their kids to grow up.
