Delighted to attend Requiem Mass this evening in St John’s chapel. Durufle’s Requiem was the setting in an inspirational service for All Souls, remembering our loved ones, and all suffering in the world at this time. A wonderful testament to the power of faith and music combined.

First driving outing since breaking my wrist 7 weeks ago😊. Huge relief! Lovely sunshine on a run out to Cleobury Mortimer for breakfast at my favourite cafe.

After my partner died suddenly in 2019 I was devastated & didn't know what to do with myself. A dear friend knew that N & I loved going to Symphony Hall to hear CBSO & persuaded me to go to this concert: a reminder there are many things worth living for. A Reason To Survive

After several months off following my adventures with a broken wrist, my first piano performance of the year accompanying Kidderminster Male Choir in a concert in St Paul’s church Nottingham. Excellent singing, a lovely setting and a full house😊

Delighted to give my first recital of the season with Anna Downes at the lovely St Andrew’s Church, Rugby. Bach, Grieg, and a new work by my good friend Dr Mark Bellis. The calendar picture at home was vey appropriate this morning!

Had a great time last night as one of the guest performers with the Kidderminster Valentines choir. Beautiful venue in St Mary’s Church Kidderminster and a full house😊. Congratulations to the choir director Jane and accompanist Morfudd on their excellent performances.

Tied to the railings again😊. Back at Great St Mary’s for a solo recital of my piano sonata and Beethoven’s Pathetique. Rather aware that just after my last concert here in October I fell and broke my wrist, so I’m being cautious in the rain…. (random giraffes everywhere today!)

A great weekend. First a lovely wedding, where I played a selection of piano song arrangements, after which I accompanied the Kidderminster Male Choir in a sell out concert. Sunday I played the organ for our usual morning service, then I accompanied our annual Civic Service. 😅

It was a privilege this evening to hear the Wombourne and District Choral Society singing my setting of Robert Frost’s poem October. Thanks to their conductor Dr Edd Caine for commissioning the piece and preparing it so well. Good luck on Saturday; sorry I can’t be there!

Delighted to be back at St Andrew’s Rugby on a rather rainy day, for a solo recital of Beethoven’s Pathetique and my own Piano Sonata. Thanks to Ben Jennings for organising the TLC lunchtime concert series, and for the excellent refreshments beforehand!

My office this evening in Birmingham Town Hall with Kidderminster Male Choir and Aled Jones celebrating the choir’s 120th anniversary 😊. I even have a dressing room…..

Looking forward to my next recital at Downing Place URC in Cambridge tomorrow. This time I’m accompanying violinist Shulah Oliver-Smith in our first recital together as the Rockingham Duo. Our programme will include ‘Spring Song’ by friend and composer Mark Bellis.

Had a great afternoon conducting the Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra today. Fine performances by our members of Brahms’ second symphony and Weber’s Freischutz overture, and it was a pleasure to accompany our excellent soloist Alex Hocknull in Strauss’ first horn concerto.

A great start to my trip to Cambridge, enjoying lunch outside The Baron of Beef, and then browsing the beautiful Fitzwilliam Museum. Looking forward to my next recital with Shula Oliver Smith in Great St Mary’s tomorrow 😊
