I listened to Shabana Mahmood’s comment this morning. It effectively appeals to the better nature of the Palestinian demonstrators implying “you’re better than this”. Compare and contrast with the condemnation of anyone who even raises the question of immigration as racist.

When BBC News (UK) were reporting in 1945 would they have described the Final Solution as an ‘escalation’? What terrifying capture has happened in the interim?

Ringo explains that his unique ‘genius’ drumming style was because he is left handed and had to play a right handed drum kit leading to little delays while he got his left hand out the way of his right. Never knew that. 🙂

Good to see Starmer’s regime not letting slip a strategic investment opportunity. They basically couldn’t offer more than a day’s asylum seeker housing cost to encourage a key industry to come this side of the Pond. So they’ve gone. Well done Keir. 👍

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Heart of Midlothian FC do win the League this year and it goes down as an * because the OF were deemed sub standard imposters. (I’ll still take it.)

MichaelWhite Your response says it all, Michael. You're less concerned with what the BBC did than with who exposed it. That's not journalism; it's tribal loyalty. The leak matters less than the lie. Michael Prescott wasn't "upset." He was horrified that the BBC had spliced a speech to make a

This knight of the realm sold out the Post Office managers when fully responsible for their plight. He then claimed he didn’t know what was going on. Now he goes for the easy ‘Liberal’ target Trump while excusing BBC News (UK) for the worst falsehood in their recent lousy history.

There’s years until the next GE but if this poll was to be replicated at that point then an understanding would need to be reached on the right to avoid tactical voting on the left returning a Labour/Green Government. Would a Conservative leader return Farage’s previous favour?

This is extraordinary from the Covid inquiry. No modelling “established” that 23,000 lives would be saved if lockdown had happened a week earlier - that was a notorious and debunked Ferguson claim…

Just watched the The Spectator debate on private education and found it amusing how frustrating David Aaronovitch found the audience’s stubborn refusal to break into wild applause every time he paused. That BBC Question Time audience can be intoxicating eh?
