People with political brain worms are frequently mad that public media is actually funded overwhelmingly by local communities and not massive corporations. You can join the "state-affiliated media" by becoming a member of your local public station. give.opb.org/opb/

“It’d be great if we could all have large backyards, neighbors that aren’t super close and save all the trees,” a council member said. “But you can’t have it all and at some point, you have to prioritize your wish list.”

OPB is following NPR’s decision to stop actively using Twitter. This comes after the app labeled NPR as "state-affiliated media" then later "government-funded media." NPR says the label is misleading and undermines its credibility.

Example No. 1 million why news deserts are very bad for people who live in rural communities. Issues like these become commonplace and just accepted as unchangeable. Oregon's backlog on water infrastructure maintenance is staggering.
