Yellow-headed parrot chicks reared in artificial nest boxes at Payne’s Creek National Park (PCNP) are transported to Belize Bird Rescue (BBR) shortly after hatching (for safety). They remain there for a few months until they are brought back to PCNP as young adults for release.

During a recent school break TIDE Scholarship Students were taken on a field trip by boat to Punta Ycacos. The trip stopped off at TIDE’s Abalone Caye so that students could learn more about the Port Honduras Marine Reserve (PHMR). Students then filled over 50 sacks of trash!
