Sainsbury’s CEO gets paid almost £4m in bonuses, on top of his salary. He’s on £2,298 per hour, while Sainsbury workers are getting £11 per hour. And we get told workers salaries are driving inflation. Rubbish, it’s the greed of the elite driving inflation.

Why does it fall to fishermen, surfers, swimmers, paddle boarders and community groups to hold the Environment Agency to account? What the hell have the board been doing? Where is the transparency, where is the scrutiny, where is the accountably?

Let me rewrite this Guardian story for them. What is actually happening is that the Bank of England’s plan to redirect vast chunks of the government’s budget towards rewarding the wealthy is working very nicely for them by denying help to those who really need it in society.
