On #BastilleDay we remember the service of Violette Szabo, a British/French Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent during #WW2 and posthumous recipient of the George Cross. In 1940, Violette met her French Foreign Legion husband Étienne Szabo at a Bastille Day parade in London.
