This is exactly what being on a pointless panel at #Edtvfest at 1pm on a Thursday afternoon when no one important has arrived feels like.

Make no mistake, Horan is one of the good guys. But it’s amazing how in this game commissioning editors can ride on the coattails of shows that for whatever reason just happen to work, often without much interference from the channel.

I am disgusted to hear that the Chris Evans show is offering historians neither a fee nor travel reimbursement to appear on the programme for 3½ hours during the Royal Wedding. While it pays Evans £2.5 million p.a., it is repugnant that the BBC expects experts to work for free.
