Mad rocket scientist - views are my own.
Ashamed of Brexit, all it represents. Never give up hope of re-joining and regaining EU citizen rights stolen from us.

bbc.co.uk/news/live/c9wp… Interesting. This is the sort of effect an unmitigated severe space weather event could cause, but there hasn't been a geomagnetic storm, so it must be something else. The disruptive effect is similar so let's hope they get it back quickly.

Thinking about the Spanish power cut - it is largely solar. My theory is the sun came in and out from behind clouds rapidly over different large areas and differential rate of generation change was too high for the network to deal with. A cascade failure followed the instability.

This weekend marks one year since the 10-11 May geomagnetic storm where the Northern Lights were widely seen across the UK. 🌌 This event was the result of a series of eruptions from the Sun which interacted with the Earth’s magnetic field, sparking spectacular auroral displays.

Astronomers may have just discovered the third interstellar object passing through the Solar System! ESA’s Planetary Defenders are observing the object, provisionally known as #A11pl3Z, right now using telescopes around the world.
