Fridays always make thoughts turn to football, so as Leeds United Supporters Club plan away trips, do they realise the social club in the delightful village of Foulridge will happily welcome 50 away fans on Oct 18th before the Burnley game? Much pleasanter option (and cheaper beers) than in town.
Delighted that ChairmanCharley and Harrogate Whites are bringing their mini-bus to Foulridge social club on Oct 18th, for pints, pies, and perhaps a glass or two or white. Should other LUFC fans off to Burnley wish to join them, the club would happily welcome another 30 or so.
If any All Leeds Away fans off to Burnley on Oct 18th wish to *refuel* before KO, Foulridge club can still welcome 30 more. Harrogate Whites booked in, but the steward happy to cater for up to 50. Rural location, real ales/lagers at members’ prices, and just eight miles from BFC.
Should followers of HandofArsenal be heading to Burnley on Nov 1st, the WM club based in the village of Foulridge will happily welcome 40/50 thirsty souls from 10-30am. Just 25 mins from Turf Moor, and cheaper real ales and lagers than in town. Village green and canal views too.
A meticulous expose by Peter S. Goodman reveals that the Nigerian town of Ogijo is Africa's lead recycling hub, exposing the population to poisoning on mass scale. The lead goes to a battery maker in South Korea, and on to US plants run by Tesla and General Motors dnyuz.com/2025/11/18/how…
A pleasure to visit Brentford FC A genuine community club, whose owner hired a fan as PA announcer (who doesn’t scream ‘MAKE SOME NOISE’) and invested in large, clean modern and well-lit toilets (not smelly latrines from the 70s). There is so much more to ownership than RoI. 🤑
Pleased to see Skipton Building Society supporting a local business by ordering 120 of the yummy edibles crafted by Love Brownies for its meeting today. Its owner is now dashing (legally) across town to supply them from his shop in Victoria Street. Lesley Tate
