Oh the pain scale...I’ve yet to report a ten. But with this depiction of 4, I can sure relate. #painredefined #breastcancer

Breast Cancer reality check - a non-disclosed break from Twitter can result in: 1. your cancer community checking on you #grateful ❤️ 2. your cancer community thinking you may have died #iamalive #fuckcancer

I’m starting to think it might be time to check this one off of my to do’s. Anyone wished they had not tattooed nipples? #bcsm #BCCWW

I used to be an amazing dr but had no regard for my own wellbeing. Now I take care of myself. I stop for lunch, leave on time, hand things over. I miss the dedication & motivation I had before but it really wasn't sustainable. Your patients need you to look after yourself.

It would typically be comforting to find someone of similar age to relate to, in a waiting room, but in this case it’s devastating...another young life impacted by breast cancer. #weareinthistogether

In the last 2 weeks I have told 9 women they have cancer, 4 of them under the age of 40. It’s hard to get worked up on all the media buzz when my day job keeps things in perspective. Be grateful. Be kind. Be your best. Sincerely, Your favorite doctor 👩🏼‍⚕️

At my bone density scan today, when asked to verify my date of birth, I replied with, “too young for a bone density test.” Too freaking young. 🖕🖕🖕 #breastcancer

I was told the same thing, but my instincts told me otherwise and I didn’t stop at the first Drs recommendation for a follow-up appt in 4 months. Trust yourself!

Non-cancer person: “You’ve finished #cancertreatment why don’t you move on with your life & leave cancer behind you?” Me: “Because if it wasn’t for those of us who’d been there, there wouldn’t be the same awareness, support, advice & community that there is for others with it.”

Taking the aromatase inhibitor Arimidex for 5 years was shown to reduce the risk of #breastcancer in postmenopausal women at higher risk, even years after they stopped taking the medicine - appears to be more effective than tamoxifen, Dr. Jack Cuzick of Queen Mary University of London said at #SABCS19

Always be an advocate for your health. Even when it’s as obvious as this situation 👇👇👇, serious issues can be overlooked.
