Further to note, DCs are levied based on unit type, not value. A $5M luxury 3k sf two-bedroom condo in Rosedale pays the same tax as an 750 sf $850K two-bedroom in Scarborough. DCs are a regressive tax disproportionately affecting first-time buyers of affordable homes.
