I could post a crappy phone photo of the sunrise I just watched through my window while sipping coffee, but rather, I'll just leave you with the statement that I enjoyed watching our star 🌟 rotate into view and I hope whenever it happens for you next, it is just as nice.

Recent news based on findings from NASA's Juno Mission regarding ideas about the cause of Zodiacal Light had me looking at what I think was the best I've seen and photographed. High altitude, cold, and dark South African skies made it unmistakable to the naked eye. #scicomm #outreach

Curious how to capture Zodiacal Light? There's no special trick. Just timing and dark skies. After sunset, during the last bit of astronomical twilight, before full dark night. Shoot the same as any Milky Way photo. (Season depending: or, just before dawn) #astrophotography

I believe the zodiacal light season is right now isn’t it? Get out on these moonless nights on sunrise/sunset and expose long to reveal the fact we live in a nebula. One of mine from West Aus.

Starset today, in monochrome. We always talk about beautiful #sunset colors, but what about the light on those sneaky thin clouds? Sometimes removing color can allow us to focus on other things, like structure and detail.

There's been renewed interest in an old time-lapse clip of mine recently, (shared by @_Astro_Nerd_, thanks!). While scrolling through images, I found this self-portrait of that tree, me, and the Milky Way. It was a nice spot to sit and ponder. #astrophotography #nightscape
