That IKEA coffee table I bought off marketplace…the original owner used A LOT of glue to put it together…and couldn’t even do that correctly. Oh well. Cost $25.

Filming a movie and the actor cast in this scene does not know how to pronounce the word “reggae.” It’s like watching the bloopers from Rush Hour but a lot less funny.

Had coffee with an A-Lister thanks to a connection I made while filming a commercial. We discussed everything EXCEPT film/tv. Even if nothing happens from this new connection, I will at least be grateful for the tears and laughter over bad coffee.

One of my junior high bullies is in prison. Why am I not surprised?

Dear Lord, give me the strength to remember to put gas in my car before I get on the interstate.

I was not given the strength. My gas light came on as soon as I got on the interstate.

So I book a gig for a huge tv show. I’m on set for 11 hours. In one more hour, double time pay will go into effect. But noooooooo…one of the other actors had to mention to the 2nd AD that we hadn’t been used all day so we all got wrapped before double time pay could hit.

I wrote the first and last scenes for my latest movie. Random guy on the internet said they wouldn’t work because the actors lines were too long. Showed him excerpts from similar movies and he said those sucked too. One of them won academy award for best writing.

Not me discovering a whole folder of twitter messages from people I’m not following. 😭

I knew my friend was in a pretty successful band, but I had no idea how popular that band was until I saw another friend’s kid with a picture of him on her bedroom wall.

Finally pulled my work luggage out of my car and then I booked a gig that’s four hours away in Indiana. Time to load it back up.

Our movie came out! I’m incredibly proud to have been the script supervisor on this project. This is the project that introduced me to my new tribe.

Filming a commercial today and the homeowner asked a friend of mine on the crew if I was a DEI hire. Producer squashed that real quick by saying I was the ONLY qualified person for this gig.

If I could go back to my first apartment, I wouldn’t have spent so much money on my first furniture sets. Should’ve thrifted absolutely EVERYTHING.

My high school students found me on Instagram and they’re asking me why certain actors are following my boring account. 😭

I didn’t work on this movie and I don’t think I know anyone that worked on this movie, but as a script supervisor, my guess is that it didn’t take 156 takes to get it right, it took 156 takes across multiple setups to get the scene. Maguire had to get it right multiple times.

At a doctor’s appointment and this man walked past me with cologne so strong it triggered an asthma attack.

Left the tv on and fell asleep. Woke up, Chicago PD is streaming and there’s me on my tv screen.
