A1: this is my 3rd year in the district and to be honest, I’m not sure. But I would think with us having a new superintendent, we are in the early stages. I know at my school, which is a career center, we are in the early stages. #loveSCschools SC Association for Teaching, Learning, and Leading

A2: As the academic interventionist at my school, I would have to say success criteria. Students knowing what they are expected to know helps them stay focused. And for teachers and students knowing what mastery looks like. #loveSCschools SC Association for Teaching, Learning, and Leading

A3: At our school, it has been teachers actually following through. It’s one thing to have it posted on the board - learning intention, success criteria but do your students know the what and the why. Can they explain instead of stating. #loveSCschools SC Association for Teaching, Learning, and Leading

A4: my first years we started the book Clarity for Learning. Each month our PLCs focused on something from the book. I don’t think many actually read the book. I did and almost wished I was back in the classroom. I think we need to revisit the book. #loveSCschools SC Association for Teaching, Learning, and Leading

A5: PLCs! Don’t assume everyone understands. Be consistent in what you expect from your teachers and check on those who may not be as strong in implementation. Talk with students so they know what your vision is and how it will look in the classroom. #loveSCschools SC Association for Teaching, Learning, and Leading
