Back after attending Talking Bodies Conference . Also had the opportunity to present my research on masculinities in India.It was a memorable week of academic engagement with a lot of amazing friends at the beautiful city of Chester!

Section 28 messed me up. I grew up ashamed of my queerness, I kept it secret and tortured myself when I could have been out and happy. I missed out on so much, because our schools weren't allowed to teach us that this was normal. Don't let this happen to trans kids. Please.

Going over my notes from Talking Bodies Conference today and feeling such joy to have shared in such a creative and intellectually stimulating space, meeting so many sparkly people. Most of all, I loved the sense of community and mutual support. More of this in academia 💞
