“I don’t blame him. In another life, it would frighten me, too.”
Though in this life she finds herself more afraid of those who wield the blade than the steel itself.
She marvels as she sees the giant, a smile on her face as they approach through the trees.
“He’s magnificent!”
Her cold expression softened as Winterissa approached, though she continued to survey the landscape.
“One can never be too careful, my Lady. Besides, the snow is beautiful this time of year.”
She hadn’t seen him on the winding path, helmet on and obscuring her vision. It was far better and far safer to be perceived as a man while traveling.
“You should be careful of who you walk into, you know.”
You are a violent and irrepressible miracle. The vacuum of cosmos and the stars burning in it are afraid of you. Given enough time you would wipe us all out and replace us with nothing — just by accident.
“Ever the impatient one.”
Brienne smirked right back, dipping down to press a soft kiss to Jaime’s lips. She ran her long fingers into his hair, pulling him in closer.
with her free hand she steadied herself on the wall behind jaime, her bulky armor coming between them and true intimacy.
she pulled her lips away slowly, caressing his cheek as she looked into his eyes.
she looks away for a moment, embarrassed at how targeted his words felt. he was right, after all.
“I suppose we cannot. Though I do not see it as a bad thing.”
his sweet words disarmed her, and within moments Brienne was pressing another brief but loving kiss to his lips.
would you believe me if I said I always enjoy you, too?
