World Refugee Day is recognized on June 20th. It is a day to build upon the concept of understanding the resiliency and courage that one may experience to rebuild their future. This day is seen as an opportunity to allow everyone to understand and embrace the celebration.

Our newcomers have experienced amazing opportunities at all levels this summer. We are grateful for our partnership with CHEF for our middle school students. They learned how to create healthy meals while learning across the curriculum. Dr. Christie Esparza North East ISD

Our newcomers at the elementary level were able to use their voices and tell their stories through the arts. It has been an outstanding experience to see students who are typically quiet shine through the utilization of a puppet like Little Amal! Thank you Tobin CenterSA North East ISD

The Welcome Center Refugee School impact program partners with schools to provide a variety of supports. One of the supports is tutoring. We like to cook up a good time while provide hands on learning.Dr. Christie Esparza North East ISD
