I have just heard from the Secretary of State for Transport that flying training and tests are not allowed during the lockdown the same as driving lessons tests. Airfields are allowed to stay open so flying for one of the reasons where your allowed to leave home is permitted.

STOLFEST RETURNS. This Saturday, 23rd September, the Leicestershire Aero Club is once again hosting its STOLFEST spot landing competition at Leicester airport.

Landing fees are free for the day and spot landing competitors can enter the event by contacting us on 0116 259 2360. We have a BBQ, outdoor tiki bar and live music in the evening and tickets are £10 which can be purchased in advance or on the gate. We can’t wait to see you there
