Can you help Scottish Seabird Centre amplify it’s voice to the #SayNoToBerwickBank offshore wind campaign which is predicted by the developer to have a significant negative effect on our internationally important #seabirds ⬇️

Always an amazing experience having an evening around Bass Rock with Scottish Seabird Centre & supporters to celebrate and thank the 1300 #volunteers who have helped us save #puffins monitor gannets, & clear invasive species to protect seabirds. A great way to start our 25 yr celebrations

innocent ignorance of Housing Association HomeGroup, means these swifts can’t get to their chicks&nests thanks to insulation being installed across 100+houses in Bridgehill, Durham. This is a wildlife crime&work needs to stop now. ⁦The Northern Echo⁩ ⁦Durham County Council

Just disembarked at Edinburgh Airport and the rubbish strewn walkway, as well as the delays brings you up sharp. What impression does this give visitors to #Scotland

Just downstream from the Cramond Brig on the River Almond. It looks pretty but the invasive plants are taking over. Japanese knotweed, Himalayan balsam, Giant hogweed. An apocalypse! #INNS who is responsible for tackling this? ScotEnvironment the The City of Edinburgh Council Landowners??

Extremely concerning. Scotland's seabirds are under such huge pressure already. The predicted collision mortality plus the hidden impact from birds avoiding turbines located on rich sea feeding areas is huge. A dark day indeed.

This is predicted to be one of the most damaging windfarms for birds we are aware of anywhere on the planet. We support nature positive offshore wind, but this isn’t it. It’s a disaster in the making.

This is a very bad decision. Seabirds are part of our rich heritage. Scotland has globally significant seabird populations and yet this wind farm will have huge and long lasting adverse impacts. And the mitigation/compensation offered by SSE is pitiful. seabird.org/press-releases…

The Great Hall of Oakham Castle-dating from 1180-90. A magnificent building staffed by some very welcoming volunteers. Full of visitors and pleasing to see The National Lottery Heritage Fund funded the restoration of this lovely place.

In today's Scotsman our CEO, Harry Huyton, reflects on Scottish Government's decision to consent the huge #BerwickBank windfarm development in the outer Firth of Forth, which is predicted to kill thousands of seabirds ever year.⬇️ scotsman.com/news/opinion/c…

🗣 ‘A sticking plaster on a gaping wound’ The Seabird Action Plan was meant to be a moment of hope for Scotland’s seabirds. But it comes just days after the approval of Berwick Bank windfarm, which is set to kill tens of thousands of seabirds.

I fully support the access rights we enjoy in Scotland. But this is simply not on. The disregard for the countryside is awful. Where do we instil responsibilities and behavioural values in our fellow citizens...?

Scottish Forestry have decided that planting a vast sitka spruce plantation in the Scottish Borders (11 sq km) does not need an Environmental Impact Assessment. Pls consider giving to this crowdfund to support a legal challenge + share crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-todrig-…

This is a good effort by East Lothian Council. The number of abandoned tents, tins, fires, plastic bags and bottles strewn in areas I walk by 'campers' is a growing menace. Education yes, but some enforcement too is needed. Popular areas are being spoiled by the selfish.

A welcome boost for Scotland's temperate rainforests- these wonderful woods full of old moss covered trees are home to a surprising array of species. All power to those who strive to restore them!savingscotlandsrainforest.org.uk gov.scot/news/protectin…

Berwick Bank could kill more birds than any other windfarm on Earth, devastating colonies of Gannets, Puffins and Kittiwakes off Scotland’s coast. 🚨 We support renewables, but not at catastrophic cost to seabirds already in crisis. The First Minister must stop this project.
