St Paul's Academy lovely sunny start to the final Bronze expedition

Last day of Gardening Club before the summer holidays? The team were busy planting sunflowers in the garden and tomato plants in the greenhouse which are going to be watered by the janitors while we are away, BIG THANK YOU to them!

We may have been on holiday but the garden is blooming and the bees are busy.

The gardeners pulled a few carrots to see how they are doing- not bad! More vegs to dig up for our Garden Market next week

Busy day! We sold our potatoes, carrots & beetroot at our Garden Market this morning and this afternoon we welcomed 2 new gardeners. We were busy, as usual, clearing weeds!

A busy start to the new school year in SfL with trips to Camperdown, the McManus and Newton Farm, as well as bike riding and lots of effort settling (back) into our school routines.

Beautiful sunny afternoon! We planted strawberry plants in our raised beds and dug up the garlic.

N5 PCC have been exploring all cake baking methods & practicing some finishing techniques including modelling & stencilling - here’s some of our recent work 👏🏼 This week we start our first planned cake of the year; cherry cake with an animal theme, pictures coming soon! 🤩

This afternoon we took cuttings from our lavender bushes & did a bit of tidying. The photography students took photos of the flowers and displayed them in the foyer-they look beautiful!

We have picked all our tomatoes and kept the green ones to ripen so we cut up all the plants and gave the greenhouse a tidy

2 weeks ago we took all the tomatoes off our plants & wrapped the green ones up in newspaper. Today we unwrapped them to reveal lots of lovely ripe tomatoes! 🍅

This afternoon at the gardening club we were in the greenhouse planting bulbs for our Christmas bulb sale and getting the veg bed ready to plant Broadbeans

We managed to get outside this week and did some planting of Broadbeans & bulbs, gave the willow shelter a hair cut and filled the bird feeders.

We received a delivery of plants, tools and top soil from Scottish Parliament's Community Benefits today
