Today, the school health team visited Year 2 and taught the children all about the PANTS rules, a personal safety initiative promoted by the NSPCC.

Year 3 worked on their communication and team work skills in their Outdoor Adventurous Activities PE unit.

Year 1 and Year 6 special friends have loved exploring artists from around the world! They researched different styles, shared ideas and took inspiration to create their own beautiful artwork. A wonderful celebration of creativity and collaboration! 🎨🖌️🖼️

Year 1 have been busy learning about the North East today! They used maps to explore the region and labelled different districts—super geography skills in action!

Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Northern Stage as part of the Playmaking Festival. They explored backstage, met the director, and took part in vocal exercises. Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely picnic in the park.

In Maths, Year 1 have been recognising and making equal groups. They even made links to their English lessons and spotted the prefix un- in the word unequal!

In RE this week, Year 5 created their own Tradecraft crosses inspired by their favourite saints and the fruits of the Holy Spirit that guided them. They also learnt that these crosses originate from El Salvador and symbolise hope.

Year 5 had a fantastic French lesson today! The children had the chance to taste a variety of French drinks and share their opinions — all in French, of course. 🇫🇷 @mrshewsonMFL

Year 5 Book Club met for the final time to celebrate coming to the end of their book, the fantastic ‘The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh’ by Helen Rutter. We had a party complete with food inspired from the book and created our own music lounge.

Year 4 have written some amazing non chronological reports about their own worlds; based on the story Weslandia by Paul Fleischman.

In Rosary Club today, the children thoroughly enjoyed making their own rosary beads – a lovely way to deepen their faith through creativity and fun.

Year 2 have been busy building their dictionary skills this week! The children worked really hard to find words, growing their confidence with alphabetical order and learning lots of new vocabulary along the way.

In the past two weeks, Year 4 have completed an incredible 36,000 steps and 405 minutes in the pool! Thank you to all of our parent volunteers for making this possible.

Year 5 Book Club highly recommend ‘The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh’ by Helen Rutter. We made a short video to share our thoughts on the book. A must read for children in Year 5 and 6! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
