In times of crisis, the mutual aid community always gives me hope. There's a giant group of people coordinating mask drop off, food, water, temp housing, pet food/care, and even insulin for strangers just because it's the right thing to do. No one is coming to save us except us.

In the midst of all this chaos, the city of LA is still conducting sweeps against our unhoused neighbors. Ppl are asking us for a replacement tent and a dog leash while it's literally raining ash bcs the city took their only shelter away during this inferno. I am so disgusted.

Today for service we have loaded turkey taco salads with chipotle dressing, plus pineapple rings and double chocolate fudge cake on the side, along with drinks! We stay out here, we stay feeding the people. Come on down and eat with us- no barriers, no questions, no charge.
