Celebrating peace, unity, and hope amid diversity at the 47th Annual Hamilton Community Prayer Breakfast

St. Mary CSS -Walk for Wenjak - proud to be a Legacy School, (a national initiative to engage, empower and connect students and Educators to further reconciliation through awareness, education and action)! This event today is the beginning of many Reconcili-Action experiences!

As a Legacy School, we are committed to listening, learning, and continuing our journey of reconciliation. Today, we walked as Pilgrims of Hope - students, staff, parents, and community partners- one of many experiences as we engage in reconciliACTION.

Students participated in a collaborative mural led by Indigenous artist Nyle Miigizi Johnston, from the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. It was a chance to engage with themes of reconciliation, cultural heritage, and storytelling through art. Stay tuned for the reveal!
