Yesterday evening we visited Land’s End Airport to perform a Breathing Apparatus exercise. We would like to thank Isles of Scilly Travel for allowing us to use the airport buildings. This gave us the opportunity to practice techniques whilst gaining a familiarisation of the buildings.

This week we went off station for drills to pump water from a local river using our major and light portable pumps. In rural areas water supplies can be limited. It’s a vital skill to quickly source and use alternative water sources such as rivers to supply water to our pumps.

🥳 Wishing you a happy and safe half term🥳 🚗 If you're out on the roads - please allow extra journey time and mute the mobile 👍 🔥 Thinking about taking the cooking outdoors? - be safe, considerate to others and always 'chill that grill' before putting away 👍

Yesterday we responded to reports of a bin fire at Porthcurno which was extinguished using a hose reel jet. The cause of the fire was due to the incorrect disposal of two barbecues. Please be careful when using any type of barbecue and safely cool the coals before disposal.
