Appreciate UCLA International Institute (and especially Peggy McInerny's) kindness in hearing and telling part of my story! No matter what is to come, I hope to remember that it's not always about the end goal, but the growing and shifting that happens in between.

Last month, I visited my old high school in Compton and spoke to students about my journey in public health, navigating college, and how the road is not always linear— especially as a first-gen student. Looking forward to seeing the even greater things they accomplish.

Deep gratitude to those who made the PQAR program possible through their time, mentorship, efforts, and resources. There is such a need for these voices in public health and I am thankful to get to grow alongside this cohort in our journeys moving forward!
