GTRI had a great time at E. Rivers Elementary School’s STEAM Day last Friday. Presenters amazed students with demos on states of matter, liquid nitrogen, thermal imagers, rainbow glasses, cameras, static electricity, and a vacuum chamber. We appreciated the students' enthusiasm!

We had an amazing time spending Valentine’s Day with the students at Hiram High School. They put their CS skills to the test in our Capture the Flag event. Watching the students collaborate, problem-solve, and think like cybersecurity pros was fun to watch. Thanks for having us!

We had a great time at the 2025 Gwinnett Co. Schools Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair, presenting enrichment STEM activities to students. Thanks to everyone who stopped by. It was also exciting to see the creativity and hard work behind the student projects. Great job!

We had a wonderful time this weekend at the Atlanta Science Festival! Thank you to the Science ATL team for organizing another successful event, to the amazing GTRI volunteers who helped make our booth a success, and to every attendee who stopped by with curiosity and excitement. #AtlSciFest

The past couple of months have been full of outreach activities. Grateful for all of the schools we’ve visited and everyone who has participated and supported our efforts, from Addison Elementary and E. Rivers Elementary to the Georgia Tech Celebrate STEAM event. There's more to come!

Yesterday, STEMGTRI was invited to be one of the many vendors at the Mercedes-Benz STEAM Day! We presented interactive demos to students before they toured the stadium, field, and locker rooms. Big thanks to Eric and Andrew for representing @GTRI and making science come alive!

Last week we brought our “States of Matter” presentation to 6th graders at Effingham County Middle School. Being outdoors let us go big with demonstrations like Elephant Toothpaste and a giant Liquid Nitrogen Cloud, filling the day with foam, excitement, and many wow moments.

On April 24th, we welcomed the next generation of innovators at the GTRI “Take Your Kids to Work Day” event. It was a day of hands-on STEM activities and an opportunity for kids to meet GTRI scientists and engineers.

From CEISMC web developer student assistant and Georgia Tech grad to CS instructor with the Rural CS Initiative (a partnership between CEISMC and STEM@GTRI), Marissa Gardner's journey is proof that #LifetimeLearning doesn’t end at graduation—it grows with purpose. 🐝

In early June, 28 rural CS teachers/administrators attended a 3-day AI PD workshop. They increased their understanding of AI model development and explored current and future AI uses. Experts from AI4OPT, Georgia AIM, Georgia Tech, and a high school student shared key insights.

Last Friday, we concluded the 2025 High School Summer Internship Program with final presentations from our 74 interns. They showcased their work and achievements from this summer. Congratulations to all interns for their impressive presentations! Well done!
